A High Powered Portable Nebulizer
There is a significant problem with portable nebulizers. They are low pressure, low air volume compressors which drag out breathing treatments in the best case scenario — and in the worst case they don’t have enough pressure to particularize the medication enough to achieve its maximum effectiveness.
We prototyped a portable nebulizer with high output that performs on par with full-size, non-portable units. Rapid iteration on a 3D-printed housing let us tune the airflow and pressure path quickly and validate the design before committing to tooling.
