Every useful machine deserves something watching it. The interesting question is how much that watcher needs to think.

We build monitoring for real equipment — a geothermal system (temperatures, on/off cycling, runtime) and automated reloading equipment (cycle counts, timing, consistency). Both start from the same simple place: a rule. If the loop temperature crosses a limit, or a machine stops cycling, raise an alert. Rules are cheap, transparent, and you should always have them. They catch the failures you already know how to name.

A High Powered Portable Nebulizer

There is a significant problem with portable nebulizers. They are low pressure, low air volume compressors which drag out breathing treatments in the best case scenario — and in the worst case they don’t have enough pressure to particularize the medication enough to achieve its maximum effectiveness.

We prototyped a portable nebulizer with high output that performs on par with full-size, non-portable units. Rapid iteration on a 3D-printed housing let us tune the airflow and pressure path quickly and validate the design before committing to tooling.
