Samsung Galaxy S3 4.3 update: Constant download notifications

If you keep getting notifications of pictures and documents downloading after the S3 4.3 upgrade you need to clear the cache and data from the download manager.  Here is how to do it.  From the message screen:

Hold down on a download notification (in the example above “Public_Act…”) until the “App Info” button apears.  Click the button. Then you should get this screen:

Now hit “Clear data” and for good measure “Clear cache”.  That got rid of those annoying download notifications!

Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much for solving this problem!!!! Went to AT&T in mall to fix it and they could not. Went to another AT&T office and 4 people on the floor and manager could not fix it. They said to join AT&Ts mobile protection plan for $9 a month and I could call support and have them fix it for me. Thank you for taking the time to place this fix online. You made me and a lot of other people I’m sure thankful for people like you.

Doesn’t highlight clear data or clear cache, therefore nothing happens when I itr to click on. This may be the worst phone in the history of mankind.

I agree with Mike, worst phone I’ve ever owned. That was before this update and the notifications. Nothing gets rid off them.
